Geoffrey M. Gichovi

Chairman Board of Directors

Geoffrey is teacher by profession, a part-time lecturer at University of Nairobi and an Examiner with The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC). He has a Bachelors Degree in Education and Masters Degree in Project planning Management. During his free time he enjoys doing poetry among other hobbies. He is a profound supporter of charitable work.

Pastor James Mureithi

Founder 

James grew up in a small village in rural Kenya. Like many other of his age, during his time he struggled to make his way through primary and secondary school, often not having the supplies or tuition that he needed. It wasn’t until he entered college that he first encountered a computer class. Curiosity drove him learn as much as possible about computers, the internet and instilled a passion for creating a ministry dedicated to providing the opportunity to teach digital literacy skills to under resourced kids in Embu Kenya. He was awarded a scholarship under Urban Promise International fellowship programs. James and his wife are blessed with two kids. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in cultural studies (Anthropology) from Moi University, a master's degree in project planning and management from University of Nairobi, Kenya and a master's in organizational leadership from Eastern University, PA (USA). He is pursuing another master's of science in Restorative practices at IIRP in Bethlehem PA, USA. His dream is to establish a digital learning campus in Embu to enhance youth mentoring programs.

Rev Elias Mwaniki Kithaka

Secretary Board of Directors 

Elias is a Clergyman and Educationist. He is dedicated in community service and has a bachelor’s degree in education (Arts), master’s degree in education (Administration and Management), master’s degree in business administration (Human Resource Management) and currently Pursuing Doctorate Degree - PhD (Education Administration and Management-Thesis Writing). He serves the less privileged community through his Authentic Gospel Church Youth Promise Kenya.

Anisia Wandiri Mureithi

Orphans & Vulnerable Children Coordinator

Nicholus, a fiscal Analyst at the Tana River County Assembly, has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Applied Statistics from Maseno university. He loves to do charitable work and that is how he met the founder of Youth Promise Kenya while they jointly supported an orphan in a school they taught together. He is currently supporting a few beneficiaries at the Youth Promise ministry.

She is a certified Counsellor with a Bachelor of Art Degree in Psychology and Sociology from University of Nairobi. Anisia trains life-skills and is also in-charge of child sponsorship program for orphans and vulnerable kids' majority who hails from the slum of Embu. Her passion for the organization is to see as many vulnerable young kids get family and educational support. They end up being transformed through love and self-realization making them better people in the society in the future. 

Beatrice Wangai

Girls Empowerment & Donor Development Director 

Beatrice has been training Discipleship at Youth Promise Kenya. She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Kenyatta University Kenya. She is currently pursuing master's degree in organizational leadership at Cairn University. She is passionate about girls, and it is her desire to see many having free access to sanitary towels and get through their education well. She is launching a Girls Raising Hands Program this coming year 2024. Reach out for any support or enquiries.

Marclus Munene

Leadership & Talents Mentor

Marclus is one of our pioneer beneficiaries and he is currently serving as an intern at Youth Promise Kenya. He holds bachelor's degree in Community Development and Environment from JKUAT. He is a mentor in music and environment programs. He is also passionate in identifying and nurturing talents/gifts among children and youth. His desire is to see them access educational resources and proper hygiene that will enable them to propel their gifts. He seeks to further studies and develop a Gift Talanta program to grow their music talents among other skills.

Meet our Interns/Volunteers

Eunice Wanjiru - A Project Manager and a Volunteer and Entrepreneurship mentor. As one of the first alumni of the digital literacy program, she has worked closely with graduates from the digital literacy program at youth promise helping them t get better business application of what they have learnt.
Stephen Gitonga - Software Development Engineer from the KCA University Kenya. Also, a pioneer alumnus from our programs and now a Volunteer site Manager Nembure Digital Literacy Camp
